In the first years, the GÉANT cloud collaboration mainly dealt with commodity cloud offerings; collaboration tools, file storage, web and video conferencing, infrastructure as a service. For the next stage, GÉANT is looking into widening the scope into cloud security, education services and learning analytics. It’s also important to go deeper into the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as new ways to deploy services and applications, such as container based virtualization. The session will examine these questions, and open up for discussion on how the community should move forward.
