PVM is a new tool in development within GEANT project, with the aim to supports service performance monitoring, verification and fault localization for several types of network services. PVM includes innovative service-aware active and passive monitoring methods on monitoring zone border points and stores the results so that the data can later be inferred for analysis, taking into considerations system scalability and accurate measurement of network service performance parameters.
